

Located in the foothills of the Sierra de las Nieves the Marbella Gun and Country Club is much more than just a gun club. Here you can take the whole family for a full, adventurous day out and sample a quality of life that is unique to this part of the world.
The day revolves around the club itself. This is set in magnificent scenery and from the large terrace you can relax and enjoy the views. Drinks are available from the bar overlooking the terrace. From May you can also cool off in the outdoor swimming pool. The restaurant serves lunch that can be a light snack or full meals from an innovative menu that includes wild boar and venison. You may eat in the restaurant itself or on the adjoining terrace; both have breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

From the club you can arrange your adventures. There is a range of activities that take place in the grounds including clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, air rifle shooting and archery. These are all suitable for any age the only restriction is build. Children must be able to handle the smallest shotgun, a .410 and draw the lightest bow. Mini quad bikes and gocarts are provided which are ideal for blasting around the tracks in the 140 acre grounds, all supervised by first aid trained Quad experts.
For the more adventurous you can venture out of the grounds on quad biking expeditions (minimum age 16 years) that can last thirty minutes to a full day complete with a hearty lunch, or, if you prefer more comfort but still want to experience the great outdoors there are Jeep Safaris in 9 seater Landrovers. The energetic can take mountain bikes over the kilometres of track through the Sierra de las Nieves and enjoy the tranquillity of the area. The biker is also more likely to see one of the rare Golden Eagles that reside in this area.

To fully experience the area there is no better way to do so than on horseback. The staff at the Marbella Gun and Country Club are happy to arrange half or full day excursions for riders of all abilities which include a stop for drinks and tapas at a local bodega or lunch at a venta. All treks are supervised by fully qualified staff.
The Marbella Gun and Country Club is at Monda. Take the Coin road from Marbella (past La Caņada). Take the road signposted Monda or Castillo de Monda. Drive through the village and you will see the sign for the club directing you up a steep track on your left hand side.
All the activities are available to non members for a small premium. Of course, having had a sample of what life can offer, you may well decide to join.
