Picasso Art Show, Malaga

Have you ever wondered just what inspired Picasso? So have thousands of others. In an attempt to answer this question an exhibition has been put together at the Picasso Foundation in Malaga's Plaza de la Merced. More than sixty works will be displayed ranging from the late 19th century to the early avant-garde period. Works by Ramon Casas from the early part of this period are of elongated forms and almost violent brush strokes, similar to some of Picassos work. Other galleries show works by other artists who influenced Picasso. The final gallery is reserved for Picasso himself and will display for the first time "Visage d'Homme" (1962) which was created on a fragment of brick.

Manilva Feria 2008, Manilva

From Wednesday 6th August to Sunday 10th August it is Feria Time at Manilva. Starting on the Wednesday at 11pm, the official opening ceremony takes place at the feria ground on the Rio Manilva road and then it is sound, lights, action all the way to Sunday. There will be live music and dancing from late until the early hours every night at the feria ground. There are parades through the streets of Castillo at 7.30pm on the Friday, Sabinillas at 8pm on the Friday and 8pm on the Saturday at Manilva.

Charity Golf Tournament and Party Night, Marbella

The Flamingo Club at Marbella will host a Charity Golf Tournament on the 14th September. The tournament is in aid of T.E.A.M. Research based at Northwick Park Hospital, North London UK. The tournament is an Individual Stableford Shot Gun start at 9am.
