Jean Traill was born in the UK. At the age of twenty years she married and moved to Holland and then 30 years ago moved to Andalucia.

She only started painting in 1990, in oils and her work was spotted by Canadian Steven Andrews who recognised her talent and recommended she take lessons. Jean went to John Browne of Sotogrande International School who improved her work with oils. She then started studying under Robert Harvey the well-known American painter from Macharaviaya , who taught her acrylics and watercolours. Sadly both these friends and mentors died a couple of years ago and Jean went to John Wright.

Jean has been exhibiting with her class since 1991 at Cortijo de los Canos, one year after she started painting. In 1994 and 1995 she exhibited at the Casa de Cultura in Estepona and has exhibited regularly ever since.

Inspired by the plants and landscapes of Andalucia Jean's work shows a clear progression from her early days and her later work is inspired by Robert Harvey.

Each year she opens her home at Calle del Molino 22, Urbanization Buenas Nochesto the public to exhibit her paintings. Her telephone number is 952 804 163
